It's You
Let Him reveal how you are interwoven into the tapestry of His plan to let His likeness be seen on the earth.
Some songs come easier than others… this was one of them. It was as though God was telling me a story and I was simply writing it down. I remember the surprise and excitement welling up in me as the story unfolded. I wrote the words to the chorus as God gave them “…I have made a way for them to see My likeness…” I was caught up in the suspense of His story, I wondered for a moment what this awesome thing was that would reveal His likeness, His love, His splendour, His power... it must be really amazing! Then I heard, “It’s you.” I was stunned at the awesomeness of what He was saying. It’s like I heard it for the first time that we are the light of the world, we are His ambassadors. It came alive in me in that moment all over again and I sat there singing and crying, absolutely overwhelmed by the implications. Then He went on to explain the 'impossible' supernatural life we, by His power, were designed to live – and I knew without a doubt that this was not just being victorious, but living within victory. He purchased victory for us by His death. We cannot fail when we follow God into His supernatural realm.
The impossible is made possible; His love is reflected through us; His power is displayed through our faith. This is for the purpose of showing His likeness, His goodness, His victory to a world He loves so much. As we go deeper into His heart we realize that it is people that sit at the very centre. Wherever you find people, you’ll find God’s heart. God's instructions for us: Love Him, Love people. Start with the intimate place. Cultivate that relationship first – it will be the well spring for everything else you do and will fill you as you GO!
